AntiquesMart VII set for Sunday, February 2nd in White Plains, NY
White Plains, NY...AntiquesMart VII is described by show manager, Vivien Cord
(Cord Shows Ltd.), as an “informal, quality, affordable event with friendly
approachable dealers.” Again this year there will be a small section devoted
to antiquarian books and paper and for this portion Cord has teamed up with
Bruce Gventer (babf event management) who specializes in book shows. The book
section is billed as BooksMart and both are scheduled for Sunday, February
2nd, from 10 AM - 5 PM at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, NY.
William and Andrea Jenack of William Jenack Appraisers and Auctioneers will
be returning to the show to offer their expertise on all types of antiques
including rugs, art, furniture, jewelry, silver, bronzes, books and ephemera.
They will collect $3 per item which they will donate to The Northern
Westchester Shelter, Inc. , A Safe Haven for Victims of Domestic Violence.
They have asked that items be limited to three per turn if there is a long
line; however, there are no limits on the number of turns. Good photos of
furniture that can’t be brought in may be sufficient; however, bringing at
least a drawer may help. The hours for the appraising will be between 11 AM
and 4 PM. Since 1980, NWS has been dedicated to serving survivors of domestic
violence and their at-risk children. In the past year, they helped 101
victims secure safe shelter to escape the violence, served 225 women and 127
children through counseling and support group programs, responded to 1,725
hotline calls, provided legal advocacy for 171 women, and raised the
awareness of 7,800 young people to the issue of teen dating abuse, through
STAR, their award-winning peer leadership program.
A sampling of what the dealers will be bringing includes an old painted tin
bird house; oil and watercolor paintings; quilts; sterling silver and
silverplate; furniture including Victorian, country, primitive, Empire and
Art Deco; European enamelware; crystal lamps; lanterns and chandeliers.
There will be old school desks; art glass; antique and estate jewelry;

tea cups; fine glassware; designer costume jewelry; ladies accessories
including compacts and handbags; linens; china; vintage textiles and
